  Flaming Prints - The Late Shows
  Northern Print have organised a 24-hour round the world printmaking challenge with 8 studios taking part - St.Michael's Printshop in Newfoundland, Canada; Two Rivers Printmaking Studio in Vermont, USA; Taller Grafica Actual, Mexico; Hong Kong Open Printshop, China; James Tucker Studio in South Korea; Artists Press in South Africa; Pracownia Grafiki Artystycznej, Poland and Northern Print in Newcastle, UK.
  
  Each studio gets a 3-hour printing time-slot to create prints inspired by the Olympic flame. The activity started at Northern Print on 18 May 2012 and then goes round the world to each of the studios in turn returning to Northern Print on Saturday evening.
  
  This activity is part of the Inspire Programme & The Late Shows. Some of the images of the final prints created in the studios will be used on flags as part of the Paralympic celebrations at Beamish.
  
  Visitors can come along to The Late Shows on Fri 18 & Sat 19 and take part in flame-themed have-a-go printing activities & see artists demos at Northern Print. www.thelateshows.org.uk]]>

  Visiting Artist: Audrey Feltham
  Audrey has been using the studio at Northern Print since April 2012 and will be here until 19 May 2012. Audrey lives and works in Canada, she has a studio at home and also uses St.Michael's Printshop http://www.stmichaelsprintshop.com.
  
  During her time at Northern Print, Audrey has been using techniques including devore and chine colle in her prints. These images show the processes she uses to make her devore fabric which is then adhered to paper and over printed.
  
  Audrey will be taking part in The Late Shows at Northern Print on Friday 18 May 7-10pm, she will be working in the editioning studio and members of the public can come and meet her and see her working.]]>
