Hiroyuki Suzuki

Hiroyuki Suzuki’s lives and works in Japan. His work features motifs derived from natural forms but the colours and marks he uses also conjure up less tangible aspects of the natural world: a breeze, the sense of a plant coming into being, or how the direction of wind or light shapes growth.

The artist and the swift gestures and choreography of his prints are all seen as part of nature’s rhythm.

Hiroyuki has shown his work and completed residencies all over the world  including at Northern Print, most recently in 2007, when he carried out demonstrations and masterclasses as well as exhibiting his work in the gallery.
