Northern Print will be opening it's doors once again for this festive regional event.

Visitors will be offered a behind-the-scenes opportunity to see the printing presses in action - with artists at work in the studio.

The artists will be working in the studio from 1.30-4.30 on both days.

Come along and find out more about how etchings, screenprints and relief prints are made and see some of the finished artworks in the current gallery exhibition Northern Footprints.

Enjoy a relaxing browse around the gallery and view the original prints and printed gifts for sale whilst enjoying a steaming cup of coffee and a nibble of cake.

The gallery will be open from 11am-5pm on both days.

If you fancy having a go at printing yourself - you can make a print and turn it into a badge in the Education room - this is suitable for kids and adults alike*

Have-a-go sessions will run from 11.30-1.30 and 2.30-4.30 on both days.

CHRISTMAS CLOSING, OUR NEXT EXHIBITION & A VERY SPECIAL ART COMMISSION
The last day of opening for the gallery and studio before the Christmas break will be Saturday 20th December, the studio will re-open on 13th January and the gallery on 16th January with a brand new show!

NORTHERN PRINT COURSES JAN-APR 2009

Northern Print's next programme of courses will take place from Jan-Apr 2009. Most of the courses are suitable for complete beginners or those who want to learn a new skill and we'll also have some advanced courses for those with some experience.

New courses for Northern Print will include Photo-Litho, T-shirt Printing for Adults and Advanced Wood Engraving.

So why not book a place for yourself or for a friend/family member. Courses make great gifts and Northern Print also does gift vouchers which can be used for courses, membership or prints.
