Gillian Ayres (b.1930) studied Camberwell School of Art, London, UK (1950). Elected ARA (1982). Taught at Bath Academy of Arts, Corsham, UK (1959/65); St Martin’s School of Art, London, UK (1965-78); Head of Painting, Winchester School of Art, UK (1978/81).
