Joanna Bourne

Jo studied fine art at Newcastle University. She now lives & works in Newcastle. Jo has been printmaking for the last 20 years and has exhibited her work all over the UK.  Jo mainly creates woodcut prints by hand, often combining this process with chine colle and gold leaf. She uses found woods which are warped and not even enough to print using a press.
 
Jo’s a member of Northern Print and uses the studio for printing editions which are suitable for printing on a press. Most of her smaller works (around 12” square and smaller) are printed on an Albion Press.
